Care Services

Tranquil Country Living works hard to provide a loving and caring home environment for the elderly. Above all, we respect the privacy and comfort needs of each of our residents. Therefore, we have tailored our home to ensure foundational necessities are always available.

For this purpose, our home is wheelchair accessible and offers large rooms equipped with cable TV, wireless internet, weekly laundry services, bed linens and towels, and daily housekeeping services as a standard. 

Because we value the safety of our residents, our home is equipped with a call system where each resident has their own call button for requesting necessary assistance. 

Additionally, we have a registered nurse on call and available when necessary; an in-home doctor visits residents on a monthly basis.

Daily Activities

We place resident comfort and satisfaction as an important aspect of daily life. We know that life is given meaning through tasks we enjoy doing. As a result, we strive to provide a welcoming environment through various entertainment and a multitude of daily activities.

Our daily activities include:

  • walks
  • exercises
  • music
  • puzzles
  • TV, movies
  • crafts
  • reading: books, Bible, magazines
  • playing cards and other games
  • social interaction in large living area

Additional activities and special occasions:

  • celebrating birthdays
  • celebrating major holidays such as
    • Easter
    • Independence Day
    • Thanksgiving
    • Christmas
    • New Year
    • International Women’s Day
  • Kids and Youth musical concerts from church
  • Caroling around Christmas time

Nutrition

Our home serves three nutritious homemade meals on a daily basis from a varying menu, offering snacks throughout the day.* We support our residents’ meal preferences by offering them meal options. Additionally, we accept recommendations and suggestions for the weekly menu and update accordingly.

Our daily meal schedule consists of:

  • Breakfast served at 8:30 am
  • Lunch served at 12:30 pm
  • Dinner served at 5:00 pm
  • Snacks offered in between meals

Equally important, our staff are diligent to individually prescribed medications and ensure they are administered as per doctor’s orders. With attention to each resident requiring their own personal care, we support dietary needs including, but not limited to:

  • Heart health special diet
  • Diabetes special diet
  • Allergy-free needs
  • Lactose-intolerant special diet
  • Digestion support diet
  • Soft foods diets
  • and other dietary needs
